Meetings and Partings

Well, it has been a busy year this year and at times a somber one.  So far this year we have had to say goodbye to senior dogs Sadie, Mugsy, Bonnie, Hayden and now Jane.  I know this is what we are all about, giving senior dogs a safe and loving place, no matter how long until we say goodbye. I am so glad we are able to do this. Still … The goodbye part is never easy.

At the same time, it has been a very happy year.  Jenna, Annie, Ebony, and Bunny got forever homes.

Logan, Ollie, along with Katana, have wonderful forever foster homes.

Momma, Mia, Max, and Skittles are waiting for their forever foster homes.  If you know a saintly someone who is willing and able to foster one or two of these dogs, please have them get in touch with me.

Our “Pup up” rummage sale

It sure looked like we wouldn’t have a rummage sale this year.  Although it brings in much-needed funds, a rummage sale is quite an undertaking and the logistics just were not coming together.

Then, like a storybook ending, Kathy and Carolyn of K & C Estate Sales came to the rescue. They had a lot of wares left over from a giant estate sale and said if we would get the word out, they would donate the entire proceeds from liquidating the remainder. Plus, we could add anything we had gathered to theirs. Just like that, we had a pop up rummage sale for the pups!

We did get the word out and had an awesome “pup up” rummage sale that brought in over $2,500.00 for Sara’s sanctuary. Thanks again to Kathy and Carolyn of K & C Estate Sales for making this possible.
